Congrats! Entering the Draft is a free and virtual Dads Group for men who are expecting and planning for the birth. You’ll join a team of men like you from anywhere in the world, who will share what they know and learn from one another about what is needed to prepare for birth and immediate post partum needs.

This is a group for fathers currently in the IVF process. The group is ongoing and is a therapy group for men living in DC, MD, or VA. Please reach out for initial consultation.

Rookie Season

For first time dads (newborn - 1 year)

Rookie Season is a dads group for men who have just had their first baby in the past year. You’ll join a team of men like you, who will share what they know and learn from one another about what is needed to continue being a great father while learning strategies to get even better.

About This Group

  • 60 min weekly sessions for 10 weeks
  • Support from an experienced father 
  • Facilitated group discussions in virtual format

As a result of your participation in this league, you will have created a network, gained confidence in your parenting and coparenting, and have the practical skills to allow you to enjoy the first year and not just survive it.

This group is most helpful for dads who would like to meet and connect with other new dads, want a space to talk to other dads about parenting methods, communicating with partners and co-parents, and dealing with strategies to support your work and life.

Seasoned Vets

For Dads with children ages 2-7yrs old

Seasoned Vets is a dads group for men who have a 2-7 yr olds. These men have a goal of "raising children that feel a sense of agency, ability to adapt and overcome adversity and engage in successful relationships."  - Rest, Play, Grow. You’ll join a team of men like you, who will share what they know and learn from one another about what is needed to continue being a great father while learning strategies to manage this stage of your child's life.

About This group

  • No location requirements.
  • Small teams of 5-8
  • 60 minute weekly sessions for 10 weeks
  • Support from an experienced father 
  • Facilitated group discussions in virtual format

As a result of your participation in this league your teammates you will gain confidence in your leadership style, gain a network of other dads and the practical skills to support yourself, child and family.

Learn about Dads 2.0

For those in the DC, MD, VA area interested in doing a deeper dive with our ongoing therapeutic groups for fathers. Join up to 5 other men in weekly groups that will improve how you relate to yourself, coparent and child. Special Teams: NICU Dads

Having a child in the NICU and readjusting once home with your baby can be particularly challenging. This group was made to support fathers over a 3 month period, during and after the NICU. This group will be no larger than 6 participants in each group.

  • Are these structured sessions?

    Some of the groups are semi structures with 1 or 2 topics per session. Theses sessions are interactive and promote discussion between members so everyone is able to share their experience and wisdom. Dads 2.0 and Scouting Future Prospects are open ended therapeutic groups.

  • Do I need to be from the DC metro area to join?

    All groups besides Dads 2.0 and Scouting Future Prospects do not have residency requirements. Dads 2.0 and Scouting Future Prospects require participants to reside in DC, MD, or VA because it is considered therapy.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    Paypal, Venmo and all major credit cards via Stripe

  • Are you all remote? Will you always be?

    Yes we are currently operating remotely using zoom but have some hybrid groups coming up in the future. 

  • Are there scholarships available?

    There may be a limited number of need based scholarships available. Please inquire at info@dadswithwisdom.com

  • How can I get a promo code?
